Kiwix Offline Browser
Kiwix is an offline Wikipedia viewer that allows you to access Wikipedia articles and other offline web content without an internet connection. With Kiwix, you can download a ZIM file from the official website and store it on your device. After starting the extension, you can manually select the downloaded file.
One of the main features of Kiwix is the ability to search among article titles and read them offline. This means that even if you have limited or no internet access, you can still browse and access a vast amount of knowledge and culture. Kiwix includes all the content of Wikipedia, including images, and has also been tested with other works packed in the ZIM file format.
The latest version of Kiwix, 3.9.0, introduces several enhancements and updates. It enables full dynamic content via the PWA workaround, migrates to Manifest Version 3, and adds a Promise queue to prevent overlapping dialogue boxes. The in-app documentation has been updated to reflect the latest practices, and jQuery has been updated to versionAdditionally, bug fixes and other improvements have been implemented.
Kiwix Offline Browser is a free program available on the Chrome platform. It is a valuable tool for those with expensive, rare, slow, unreliable, watched, or censored internet access, as it provides access to a wealth of information without the need for an internet connection.
